News update

Adult-business rules examined

I find this information helpful. At the very least it's good to know that Luzerne County isn't the only community that is trying to prevent the encroachment of sexually oriented businesses.

Never, in the history of this country, have we ever had to deal with so much smut right on our main streets.

  • Here we go again with news from afar. Mr Family let's keep it local or don't post anything. Thank you.

  • I have always agreed that clubs like this do not belong next to residential area's, churches or schools. But they should be allowed to open.
The secondray impacts, however, are no longer true. They can not hold up in court these days and are commonly proven false.

  • I wonder how well the owners of gclub are sleeping at night... knowing that the public sees them as peddling smut right next to our mall. It's disgusting and they should be embarrassed. Now they try to market their place to our kids. they show no concern for the betterment of our community.

  • Keep it local? That's your best response to the article?

This shows to me that club supporters don't have a very broad base of information to operate from.

Hey clubbies, try to see the big picture for once.

  • I would imagine that the club id's people entering and underage individuals are not permitted to enter. But a store in your beloved mall has penis shaped pasta, whipped cream (not for ice cream)((or not packaged for the above mentioned ice cold snack)) and games posters and the like that degrade women and men. Not a word has been said about this. This is a store that anyone can go into. ANYONE. if my kid wants a lava lamp and happens to see penis shaped pasta what do I tell 'em?

  • 11:09AM, as a responsible parent who is guiding his child, you teach him about your own dislikes on such things. He must learn from you first. The next step would be for you, if you feel comfortable with it, to approach the manager of the store and tell him your concerns. Please understand that this site is concerning club 10, and it cannot fight all the ills everywhere, but it has started here. The rest of it is up to us who come upon these things to speak up about them.

  • 9:09, having absence of their consciences, this, very briefly in part, is the club's re-placed demented thoughts that helps them sleep at night and about concern for the betterment of the community:

    "...where there's people, there's money."

"Our vision is to build a reputation of excellence, while we strive to provide the highest quality of adult entertainment and service to the many local and out-of-town patrons we expect will visit our club." (service?)

..."In doing so however, we promise to do our utmost to preserve the integrity and high standards of the surrounding community while we strive to be a good neighbor to all."
    Source: club's w/s "Public Statement."
Oh there's lots more! I promise anybody who is anti-club and reads the whole statement, your eyes will widen and your jaw will drop at every phrase!...and the quotes above aren't even the best beauties!

  • Here we go again, trying to justify gclub10 by citing adult-related material in another part of W-B Township. Is the name of the store "Porn Products"? No? Are sex-related items on display in the store front window? No? Are these products part of an ad campaign? No? You just can't excuse one wrong by measuring it against another, though penis-shaped pasta is hardly tantamount to naked girls rubbing themselves all over 18-yr. old boys for cash.

  • 8:24 finally someone got it right
"as a responsible parent who is guiding his child, you teach him about your own dislikes on such things. He must learn from you first."
It should be a remimder to all that teaching comes from the home and family not what one might pass in the mall or on the street.

  • i am attending a seminae in nanticoke on tues about the srpead of drugs in our area, a real problem in our area, hey mr family could organize a seminar about adult clubs, no wait he can't because he remains anonymous!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:30 AM

  • So attending a seminar about the spread of drugs in our area makes it OK to support sex peddlers who exploit and degrade women?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:35 AM

  • to 635am-- i am setting priorities-- when was the last time a murder/ robbery was traced to an adult club in this area? never. When was a murder traced to drugs. Almost every day.
Is someone going to rob you to buy porn or buy drugs?
You need to get a grip.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:07 PM

  • for one thing, it's not up to mr. family to stop drugs in this area. that's up to the drug enforcement and local police dept.
and it also up to the people of the area where drugs are being pushed and report it to their local police depts.
the problem is the people in the neighborhoods don't get involved.
if that's why you are going to a seminar for, to learn about how to get involved, fine. but don't disregard the dehumanization of women this campaign is geared for. your doing your job about drugs we're doing our job against sex clubs.

  • I have a grip, 12:07. I'm taking the bull by the horns because there's so much bull coming from pro-gclubbers. If you want to talk priorities, why are you wasting your time on a mere website dedicated to stopping something that continues to be available to those of you who insist on objectifying half the population of our planet? I'm certainly not posting drug defense comments on an anti-drug website. You need to focus on the issue at hand, pal.

  • 12/07 hey champ
what makes you think your the only one fighting drugs on this site.....scores have been fighting them before you were a thought
    get reality
    porn/drugs go together
