Familiar argument

Have you noticed a pattern with sexually oriented businesses? They move into your town, they try to get around every ordinance they can, they claim that they are just exercising their First Amendment right to free speech (even though they're a haven for sexual predators), and they sue every local authority they can think of until they get their way. When you complain about what they're doing, they downplay your concern with, "There are many more important things for us to be concerned about, etc., etc., etc."

I find it very disgusting. They are so bent on exploiting young women for money that they care about little else.

This isn't just a problem in Wilkes-Barre Twp., but all throughtout the country. As the moral fabric of our nation unravels, this problem will continue to expand. Ultimately, unless the Lord changes our hearts, I'm afraid that we can expect much more of this.

Take a look at a problem currently being experienced by the city of Johns Creek, Georgia. Tell me if it sounds familiar. Click here.

  • Do you think this is new? Or have you not been around for a while. Adult places have existed for hundreds of years, and they will until we are no longer on this earth.

  • You act as if adult entertainment is new, or has just started to come into our world. Are you really that naive?
Pornography films have been made since the time of silent films, and strip clubs long before that.Sex has been a part of human nature during our entire existence. It is nothing new, and will not change.

  • I am not a sexual Predetor, nor is my wife. But we enjoy going to these types of clubs every once in a while.
We shop at adult stores, and occasinally buy an adult movie.
Does that make us sexual predators? My guess is to you is anyone that has any kind if exposure to the adult industry is.
Get over yourself. You have no idea about the every day people that happen to enjoy adult items and shows. You have a very narrrow mind, and have proven that by using nothing but Stereotypes when making references to people who patron the clubs or adult stores.

  • It may not be new, but it is getting much worse. There used to be a time when dancers were not allowed to touch customers. Now they rub their bodies all over them and call it a "lap dance." It's a form of masturbation, nothing less. Where do these guys go to finish off their arousal? What happens to the women in their lives once they leave a place like this? Check out some rape statistics or the personal histories of rapists and you'll see.

ERRRRRRRRRT! You two are another perfect example of associated logic. Your statements/arguments are totally weak. Please try again when you learn the value of an education instead of the value of a stripper. On your way out please pick up one of our pamphlets on moral values. Have a nice day.

You are so aroused that you can’t even get the time right on the person you are directing your post at. Besides, you are using a classic ethical fallacy called poisoning the well.
11:44AM, your post/statement/argument is irrelevant, unrelated and distracting to the topic. Perhaps you should redirect your money towards an education instead of the pockets of a community cesspool owner. Thank you, have a nice day and on your way out please take one of our pamphlets on moral values.

  • Weak? You deny that Porn and adult business have been around for hundreds of years? That is not weak, it is a fact. It still exists because people still enjoy it. That is a fact. On your way out grab a magazine or a news paper, sex is all around our world, Hell, it's even in TV ads for Soda.

  • The Lord would have to be real before he could change your heart. It is a shame you have to look to a imaginary being to solve your problems.

  • "They are so bent on exploiting young women for money, that they care about little else."

How true now that the club is offering cash prizes to 18 year young women on amateur night. Yes, enticing them to sell their bodies, sell their souls for a lousy few bucks...just as long as Sal and his buddies make money. That falls even lower than exploitation. That falls under demented!
Oh but why should Sal and his buddies care. It's not the potential for their daughters and young female relatives to be so demoralized that they will eventually turn to drugs to alleviate their dismal feelings.
It's not their daughters who will be found in the gutters of life or in an early grave!
Parents beware! This is what Sal and his buddies promote only for the benefit of their bank accounts!
The gutter and the grave are the potential futures that Sal and his buddies are offering your daughters who will turn 18 one day.

Sal and buddies, you are some of the most despicable people on this earth!

I don’t and never will deny that all forms of porn in general exists all over our country as well as that cesspool next to the stadium in WBT. I am simply stating that those that I pointed out are only skirting around the issue or using other kinds of fallacies that really weaken their argument.

  • This is quoted from your page:

"They move into your town, they try to get around every ordinance they can, they claim that they are just exercising their First Amendment right to free speech"

You see the problem with this statement is for them to "get around" the ordinances they would have to have those ordinances in place BEFORE the club wanted to open. You can’t let a business open because your political parties didn’t see the need to put laws in before the place was already set to open. As for your beloved Ban on BYOB that your voters so gladly decided "After the fact" they wanted to pass it doesn’t apply, again because it was open before that was a passed law. It the same if someone gets an illness that could have been helped if they got the shot before the illness came that would help them. They don’t and they get sick. You know who is to blame for them getting the illness they didn’t want? Them because it was preventable but they didn’t want to do it.

As for "Moral Fabric" Who are you to decided what the Moral fabric should be for everyone? Why are you the end all be all of what’s right and wrong? Have you ever been wrong in your life? Have you been able to admit it? I feel sorry for you and the people that are so against the club. You see the people that go to the club and works at the club do so because they can, not because they have to. You make it seem like Sal is kidnapping girls off the street. Guess what they come to work there. It’s again the choice that they make.

The link you provide is nothing even close to what has happened with Gclub10. You see nobody even cared what the laws where until the club was already underway to open. The link you provide talks about a brand new city that is going to pass its laws. You try and try and fail every time.

I am sorry for you and your family and supporters. For your bid for oppression because "YOU" see things unlike other makes me sad. You are basically with this website trying to do the same thing that you are fighting for. You want to stop something because you and the people that support you think it’s wrong. But you can’t see that another portion of your area doesn’t have a problem with it. Those people you put down and call names and do immoral things to try and make them feel bad about their lives.

As for the photos of cars my wife knows when I am at the Club. A picture of a car would do nothing to hurt me. My guess is most people that go to the club can care less about your site either and most likely the majority of them have never even heard of your site. The news wont report on you because they all think you’re a fraud and the 5 family members that come here to support you must make you feel very special.

You are a sad man Mr. Family. I hope that at some point in your life you will learn that people make choices for themselves and sometimes those choices are wrong. But the Great thing about living in the United States of America is that we get to make choices, Right or wrong. You feel its wrong to go see a willing dancer take of their clothes for money and you feel this is exploitation. I feel I can go enjoy the company of some very beautiful girls and my wife knows where I am and that when I get home I have done nothing to harm my relationship with her. Who is right in my case? Well since I do have a very strong and loving marriage for 10 year I would say that would be me. Thanks for your concern but I would rather you not try and make a choice for me.

    MUSTARDSEED

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:46 PM

  • Well The ignorant have spoken now I'll tell you what I know. I've been going to stripclubs for 30 years and I've seen everything that goes on in the world, go on in a stripclub. Drugs, sex, sure but that happens outside of a club too. I've helped girls through collage, I introduced one stripper to her husband. There is every kind of person in a club because there is every kind of person in the world. Single mothers get to make 2 or 3 times the money they could and get to spend more time with their children. Sure married men come here but if the clubs didn't exist they would find REAL sex somewhere else. The clubs provide a distraction without needing an affair.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:06 AM

  • I suppose 7:06 ann post is true, I'm an older person and have bee around for a while, the clubs do provide entertainment and alleviate a lot of tension. True it's a form of legalized prostitution but again that profession seems to have been around since the beginning of time.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10:10 PM

  • All these SO called family men that have interest in this club..Im sure they all have of age girls in THEIR families. Why not introduce them to the WONDERFUL, NOTHING wrong, GREAT paying jobs that are avilable at their UPSCALE club???? You will NEVER see that..because it would be degrading to their family. Why not put a nice ad in the paper and this time instead of so and so porno queen..come meet the OWNERs daughter. now theres a twist..........

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:59 AM

  • There are at least two consistent underlying themes that strip club supporters convey which fully comply with the above defensive comments:

    1. they have lost touch with their consciences, drawn from a factual study, thus unable to admit they are wrong and glorify that wrong.

    2. they are self-absorbed.

To quote a Phd.: they don't care about the consequences.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:33 AM

  • 7:06AM,
If this is all you know then what do you know about what happens outside of your club experience where the MAJORITY of the REAL people live? The answer to that would be nada. So who is ignorant here, society that spends life in the world or you that spent your 30 years in the tiny world of the club? My guess is that you would be the ignorant one.
    EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNT!!!!! Please try again.
    2:25AM,
You say you have a strong and loving marriage of 10 years, then why must you go to a cesspool to "enjoy the company of some very beautiful girls" (2:25AM, 2006)? Here is another problem, are these in fact girls or are they women which in your mind try to degrade by calling them girls? You just proved what’s in your heart and on your mind. You call your marriage strong, is that because you are very controlling over your wife or you wish you were and that is why you go to the club to escape 50% input that your wife is vying for? You see 2:25AM, you are failing to see reality of life outside the club including you wife who probably is not telling you the truth out of fear or just telling you what you want to hear because you live a life of lies.
EHHHHHHHHHHHHNT!!! Try again 2:25AM. The club is going down and the then the next one and the next.
By the way you two, nice use of even more fallacies. ROFL!
    MR. Family,
You must see a pattern developing here by now with these pro10ers. Check it out and exploit their weaknesses which are becoming apparent.

    LOCKBACK

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 8:05 AM

  • "Sure married men come here but if the clubs didn't exist they would find REAL sex somewhere else."

Gee, like at home with the wives they have sworn to be faithful to?

"The clubs provide a distraction without needing an affair."

The marriage that needs "a distraction" is already on its way out, "needing an affair" would just put the nail in the coffin.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:28 AM

  • With intent to repair any damage that has been incurred by blogger 2:25 with his interpretation of marriage, I offer this.
My spouse and I have been exceptionally happily married for twenty years.
Our vows were given solely to each other and did not include a third party.
Third party refers to sex videos, sex toys, and strip clubs, etc.
Our intimacy is kept alive by keeping our vows in high esteem.
Also, our romantic dinners for two are no comparison to any husband or wife who takes pleasure in gawking at another naked person. That only serves to diminish the value placed on the other spouse.
Our money is well spent together being with each other and for each other. We have become one.
When it comes to the bond of our marriage, we "...forsake all others."

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:20 PM

  • 7:06,
What about the thousands of other unknown female strippers who went on a downward spiral and onto an early ending? Strip clubs were their entrances.
The very same wrong things that you know, you encourage with your 30 year attendance. Be honest with yourself.
Money gained by ill-repute does not justify the quantity of time mothers spend with their children. Quality does, and dignity is a more important lesson.

"distraction" Is that the new name for a "quickie"?

Problem is that W-B Twp has more sex per square mile than any where else world wide. A Sex cinema, 2 sex books & video shops, message parlors, and now a BYOB Club. Very liberal Township leaders I suppose. Feel bad for the local citizens but then again they allowed it by electing their leaders.

according to you anyone who has an impure thought-- is an adulterer--well how can you be so sure that your spouse has NEVER had an impure thought?

I do not remember any impure thoughts when i saw

Nudity does not necessarily translate into impure thoughts--i have a greek nude statue on my porch.

In an effort to absolve yourself, you chose to concoct some nonsense about my thoughts.
Impure thoughts, by my spouse or anybody's spouse is not adultery.
It is simply that, a passing thought. Human as we are, I have no doubt that anyone hasn't had impure thoughts in one form or another.
My definition or yours, the legal court system has a clear definition of adultery, which just happens to co-incide with mine.

I wish you another 32 years and more filled with health, happiness, and devotion to each other.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2:31 PM

  • Dear 1:40p, do you really believe that Scripture was intended to conform to our human way of thinking?

Do you think it was meant to excuse us from our depravities according to us?

If you believe lust, nudity, adultery, and projected immoralites are acceptable,

    then

I GUARANTEE you as sure as I type this that if you believe those things, you are being deceived by the evil one himself.

Please continue to read Scripture in a way that the Word is being spoken to you.
Not in a way that defends the devil with all of his masked deceptions.

Prurient titillation is what it is. No matter how you try to justify it, degradation is degradation. 2:31, instead of spending $20 to whet your appetite, try taking your wife out to dinner and see how healthy BOTH your appetites can be.

My thoughts - only - on it is that there are two parts to sin/adultery, with one of the parts being willful.

An impure thought - passing thought - is a test that can be dismissed.

It is not the same as frequently and intentionally entertaining it or following it through to the fullest extent in order for it to be a violation.

Gay people are not allowed to get married in most states in this country, so are they in sin? No they are not, nor is anyone else having sex outside marriage. The church itself hates Gays.
They call that a disease, a sickness.
Sin is all based off religion.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:21 PM

  • Very basic...if marriage is not for a only man and woman, then how do you explain their compatible anatomical and biological sexual features which are conducive to resulting in childbirth?

Hint: the act of sex, conjugal love, is for procreation of the species. The Church and most states uphold and encourage matrimonial union primarily with that in mind.
If you went to Church, you would know that it does not hate gays or anyone. So don't misrepresent something you don't know about. Did you know gays attend Church and know full well they are accepted and loved? Your statement is nothing short of poison that offends gay people with talk of hate.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:20 AM

  • 7:20, let me clear up your confusion. Yes, religions teach homosexuality is a sin, as well as lying, murder, adultery, stealing, etc., etc., no exceptions. You should get my drift.
However, religion does not hate people because of their sins.
It's clearly specified: "love the sinner;hate the sin."
If you really knew about "most conservative religions," you would know that. You would also know that religions are meant to be followed as guides, not instituted for the purpose of accommodating each of us with our personal preferences. Perhaps you have a clouded notion of what love and hate is that is affecting the clear picture.
Religions do not go against the law concerning civil rights for gay people or anyone else. They would be in court if they did. Gay people are entitled to the same civil rights as any American, and they recieve them.
There is no need for me to go to am. family w/s or any other w/s. I go to Church to learn what I know, I know a variety of gay people, I know the law protects from discrimination, and I know this w/s is not about gay marriages. Therefore, I have no interest in discussing it further.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:55 PM

  • to 1255 pm my son is lawyer
w/alcu-- hw say there is no federal law protecting the civil rights of gays-- about 12 states have them pa is not one of them-- go to the web site of jerry falwell pat robertson, james dobson, jimmy swaggert, etc almost any conservative religion/ religeous leader and you will find out they oppose civil rights for gays.
you do not know what you are talking about, of course that does not surprise me. BTW, these same people opposed civil rights for blacks back in the 60"s.
