Your deeds could come back to haunt you....

It is constantly proclaimed by Gentlemen's & Adolescent's Club 10 that every aspect of their facility is under constant video surveillance. They claim that they keep video record of their "VIP rooms" and other activities.

It seems that they also willingly share their videos with people outside the club when it seems to suit their best interests. A website that was established to mock "Mr. Family" was recently given a copy of one of these tapes. The tape was digitized and at least one picture from inside the club was posted online.

I'm curious to know what the patrons of the club think about this and if they would give the club permission to make their tapes public. Where is the club circulating these tapes? How long does the club hold on to them? Where might they eventually turn up?

It's just something to think about. The club tapes you on the inside of the building and the public takes your picture on the outside.

Either way, Club 10's customers end up on film.

Where are the supposed crowds?

I drove by Gentlemen's & Adolescent's Club 10 on Tuesday night. I keep hearing from club supporters that attendance at their club is big, even on weeknights. Obviously, I hope that's not the case, and I don't think it is. There were a total of 14 vehicles in their parking lot as I drove by. By comparison, there were more cars in the lots of every individual restaurant in the Mundy Street area that very same evening.

I also noticed that many of the cars in Club 10's lot are parking in such a way as to block each other's license plates. It seems that people have been doing this for a while, but it only works if the other car sticks around as long as you do.

So where does this leave things? Several months ago, Club 10 fans consoled themselves with the thought that "you'll get tired of posting pictures and give it up." That's not going to happen. This site will continue posting pictures for as long as Club 10 spreads its poison in our shopping district.

I'm just curious what the building will be used for once Club 10 moves out.

Meaningless Ordinances

What good are ordinances if they aren't enforced? Why bother to tell the public that you are going to do something if you really aren't?

Not long ago, the residents of Wilkes-Barre Twp. voted to prohibit BYOB clubs from operating within the township. Strip clubs are permitted to exist, but they are not permitted to allow patrons to bring their own alcohol.

Flying in the face of this, you have Gentlemen's Club 10. Club 10 clearly has no regard for the will of the people of Wilkes-Barre Twp. In their ads, they broadcast the fact that they are still operating as a BYOB club even after 80% of local voters voted that they could not.

In addition to this, we have our local politicians who haven't yet stopped this from happening. They make themselves look weak and ineffective by promising to take a stand, yet never delivering on their promise.

While all this occurs, the rest of us take note of the ways that Gentlemen's Club 10 violates local ordinances and their patrons and dancers engage in illegal or immoral activity.

  • 1. Patrons are frequently seen drinking in the parking lot.
  • 2. Dancers are rumored to be having sex with customers.
  • 3. The "operating hours ordinance" is violated.
  • 4. The "distance between dancers and customers ordinance" is violated.
  • 5. Customers are parking in the lots of other local businesses (and often being towed).
  • 6. A prostitute has been hired to dance at the club.
  • 7. Pornography agencies are contacted to bring porn actresses to the area.

It's not good, but it won't be around forever. You can count on it.
