  • I have NO PROBLEM with a community enacting laws to restrict adult establishments, however when the establishment is already and legally operating, I do not believe in any type of harrassment
to close it, except for law enforecememt etc checking to make sure it complies with all laws.

  • When a sex business sneaks into the middle of a respectable commercial zone through a technicality (or greasing the right palms for an "oversight"?), I have NO PROBLEMS with citizens doing everything they can to stop it. I certainly hope the powers that be are closely monitoring activities inside this BYOB with an 18-year old age limit and enforcing ALL laws to which it is subject. It's not harrassment, it's asserting community standards!

  • 12:34 PM, I would like to ask you a sincere, legitimate question, foundation first:

I have lived in W-B Twp. all of my long, long life. Many, many other residents are also life-long residents, and we have paid all of our taxes for our homes, police dept., sewage, etc. for many years. This is in addition to W-B city taxes that we pay.
Now no one in the Twp. was notified, let alone asked if they wanted a strip club in the Twp. I believe it is fair to say that now all of our taxes will be raised in order to confront this issue of an unwanted strip club. I believe it is also fair to say that our homes will depreciate in value because of the club. If you have ever been to the Twp., you would have noticed that our homes and yards are well-kept, meaning that we have taken a lot of care to invest a lot of our hard-earned money into it all over the years in order to live respectful lives.
Now a lot of us are looking forward to retirement, are elderly, sickly, and/or retired. Where those inevitable raised taxes could have gone to better use, such as health insurance, better health insurance, medications, or long-deserved vacations, my question to you is:

why do you believe that the club is being harassed when all of the above has been inflicted or imposed on us initially due to the club's establishment?
Have you thought about us on this side of the fence?

Personally, I believe that us residents were harassed first and will continue to be without limit as we will be take many financial losses and hardships for health concerns.

  • A gentle reminder for us to join in spirit as we raise our prayers to Heaven, Friday at 7pm.

To those who do not join us in prayer but do not approve of the strip club, you are not meant to be left out. Please join us in any way that you are most accustomed.
    Thank you.

  • A. The zoning laws for WB Twp. allow this type of buissnes. The zoning laws actually will allow live sex shows. Check it, its there.
    B. Your house can not lose value as the club is in a commercial area.
    C. Since the zling is legal, there would be no extra taxation against the area of the Twp. Until the Twp leaders decide to take the club to court, Teh you have to pay. Not the clubs fault. The zoning laws have been the same for years.
    D. The club did not sneak in. The sone was 100% legal.

  • wow if you saw the pictures featuring Club 10 nudity featured in Tuesday June 20, 2006 Xtreme Magazine and the lewd performances that were photographed quite sure they would be able to get the place closed down, if not then someone is getting paid off or sleeping at the switch. Hey people living in W-B twp it's a shame that this is right in your back yard and in the middle of a well traveled business area.

  • Glub DID sneak in. The initial proposal made no mention of nude dancing. The zoning laws only "allow" live sex shows in so far as they never SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED them. In other words, the residents of W-B Township never dreamed a bunch of degenerates would exploit their naivete. No doubt council members (or judges?) were either "asleep at the switch" or paid off. However, the people of the township deserve better and I wish them success in closing gclub down.

  • Anon 11:05. The twp. is zoned in that area for Live Sex shows as stated in my previous post. The Club is actually holding back on what they do. They could go all out if they wanted to. In the zoning statments Cabaret is listed for that area, as well as the acts allowed. They are doing nothing thet they are not allowed to do.

  • If the twp. pursues this ordeal in court, then I hope the two automatically re-elected councilmen who instantly recieved a $5,000 raise each upon their re-election would contribute to the pot first. Up until their automatic re-election, for the most part all they did was find new ways to drain more money out of the residents and businesses.
Too busy doing that while not paying attention to zoning laws.

  • why do you not post anymore pictures? I enjoyed them

  • to 10:53, in the early 90's, I attended a wbtwp meeting wherein a person wanted to be zoned to establish a business in wbtwp. The councilman read an alphabetized list of types of businesses (in front of all meeting attendees/residents) that are allowed to be est. in wbtwp. Most assuredly, and I would have been highly surprised, if I had heard any type of business being read off that even hinted at such an explicit level that allowed live sex shows. I had not gotten then, nor have I gotten the impression now that wbtwp is the type of homey-family residential or commercial area that would want to include or have a need for such an exploitive business. So if that is true what you say, then it would have to have been added some time after the early 90's, and still I would be highly surprised.

  • For as long as I have been following this website, many different issues have been commented on, sometimes over and over again. At this point, I would like to mention a point that might not have been in focus. That point is perversion.
Perversion, in this case, public personal gratification is a sickness that has been overlooked and even classified as "legal." It has been the net term believed by the owners, dancers, patrons, and some others.
I find it impossible to believe that our judicial system would legalize a serious mental illness in order for it to be acceptable in society.
There seems to be a fine line, or a stretch of the imagination, from what the judicial system actually ruled compared to the perverted activities that actually do occur in strip clubs.

  • Hello, 8:11 AM,

No very particular reason other than that is the day and time when the initial Mr.Family & supporters had their prayer vigil across the street from the club. So with that, let me just say it would be all of us joining together for prayer as a spiritual group at the same time, every Friday at 7 PM, even if it is a short prayer for only a few seconds, no matter what denomination.
Other than that, of course any time is most definitely acceptable to pray.
And for our atheists friends, they are most welcome to share in that time with us with their positive thoughts or to whatever they are accustomed.
    Thank you for asking.

  • 9:14 the vigal was on a saturday night if not mistaken I remember I was at mass at the time.

  • I live in W-B Twp., am against the club, and am wondering if any of you can tell me how the owner or whoever, gave the Twp. the illusion of what type of business they were opening, like what did the owner or whoever say or lead the Twp. to believe?
Also, wasn't there a zoning officer named Mr. Evans employed by the Twp. at the time? (who is no longer employed here)
Was this an "oversight" on his part?

  • It was not an oversite.Once Again, a Cabaret is listed as an applicale buisness on the zoning list for WB twp. They did not sneak in, they gave no illusions. No short cuts. The applied and got a legal permit.

I purposely went to the dictionary for this one.
"cabaret"----a large restaurant providing liquor and musical entertainment.

I don't know about you, but that definition does not indicate to me in any way anything about nudity, stripping, lap-dancing, or even anything about dancing. Nothing about providing sexual entertainment.

    Breaking it down:
    restaurant = food
    liquour = alcoholic beverages
musical entertainment = a band, disc jockey, jute box, a violinist, or a pianist.
