Pittston
As residents of Pittston are well aware, pressure is being placed on their local officials to allow for strip clubs and adult bookstores to open in their developing community. You can read a little more about that here.
To our friends in Pittston: If your local officials are unable to stop this from happening, we will gladly help you take action on the citizen level, just as we are seeking to expose the negative aspects of Gentlemen's Club 10 and other sexually oriented businesses here in our neck of the woods.
Hopefully the club in Pittston will never get off the ground. But if it does, send us pictures of any activity occurring outside the building and we will post it right here.
On a related note, several readers of this website mentioned to me that the parking lot at Gentlemen's Club 10 looks rather desolate on most evenings and that some cars are parking with their backs up against the building to obstruct their view. This is very interesting, especially because patrons of Club 10 are telling me that they aren't ashamed of going there. If you aren't ashamed of what you're doing, then I guess some of our upcoming posts shouldn't bother you either. I guess we'll see.

Club 10 is pushing the issue and is opening until 4 am. Totally defying the ordinence. Police will have to work twice as hard, spending more of our tax dollars. Thanks club 10.

What gives you the right to post peoples liscense plate numbers online? Would you like it If I took a picture of your liscense and posted it on my blog? This would see kind of funny since you have failed to let your identity be known. After the posting of your plate number, anyone with an internet connection could find out your name and address. I would like to hear your response on this.

Right or wrong you decide......Circus will be in town real soon young children will be out in the streets watching a parade sitting under a XXX sign. These are the things Mr. Family is trying to convey. I dont things strip club are necesserially bad but location is everything. I know I wont be attending this years parade with my children. Bad idea wilkes barre not to have more control.

Unless their parents tell them, "Hey kids, there's the strip club I was ranting about!", I doubt that any kids in the crowd would even know what it is from the sign alone.
And as far as kids go, then why not start a "StopSpencersInTheMall" blog while you're at it. They are considerably more sexually explicit (and have been around in malls since 1964) than the Gentlemen's Club 10's sign is and there's plenty of kids walking by/in it every day.

the ordinences can not be enforced because the club was given permit for use to open before they went into effect another error on the councel part.

your posts are correct to say it is what you say to your children about such places. Those that would make a big thing out if it around their children are more at fault than those that attend as adults. How many times have I driven by the Tilbury and my kids never once questioned it.
