What do the women say?

Hello everyone,

Sorry that I didn't post over the weekend. Everyone needs a break now and then.

Two friends that I am close to have recently spoken to women who work (strip) at Gentlemen's Club 10 and Planet Pocono. They did not enter the buildings to do so, as they met these women in normal everyday contexts.

This information is second hand, so take it for what it's worth.

According to the woman who works at Gentlemen's Club 10, some of the strippers are local and others are brought in from Atlantic City on the weekend. Inside the club there are private rooms where a patron and a stripper can spend some time alone. While in these rooms, at the individual discretion of the stripper, sexual activity is conducted between the stripper and the patron. According to this woman, "Some girls do this, but I don't." I'm learning that this is what they all say.

Seems to be a far cry from the argument of some that "there's nothing wrong with men going and looking at pretty women." Too many people love to trivialize this problem and over-simplify it.

According to the woman who works at Planet Pocono, many of the girls (but not her, of course) are earning money on the side through prostitution with the club patrons. Again, this doesn't surprise me. I just thought it was interesting to know that the women who strip at these clubs are willing to admit this.

It has been exactly one month since this site was started. I'll be honest with you....the longer this goes on, the more disturbed I become that our local officials are turning the other cheek to this issue. At what point are they going to investigate these clubs and do something to stop this problem in our county? I know there are other local problems that they are addressing and that their lives are busy just like everyone else's. But this problem is becoming too large to ignore.... and if it is ignored, historically results in worse problems.

  • You really need to get a life. If people like you would actually donate your free time to causes that people actually care about instead of nonsense like this. I'm sure there is some little league team that needs coach, a child needing mentoring, or litter on the side of insterstate 81.

  • I know for a fact that there is not just prostitution going on at clubs, A local well known hotel keeps a call girl list for their guests. If you spend time in the lobby you can see them (the same girls over and over) coming into the hotel, staying for a bit then going back to their car.

  • I highly think this is true...I don't think anyone that works in such establishments would say those things especially if that is how they make their living as you have implied.

  • So your "friends" talked to these girls huh? It seems you come to this info so easily. And of course it all seems biased. And is prostitution anything new? It is after all the oldest profession in the world. It has been around for thousands of years. It was not till religion stepped in (as always) that it became an issue, then illegal, and leads to disease. If it was legal as it is in Nevada, and regulated by the government as a regular business there would be no issue. Face it Mr. Family. It is not 1930. People like sex. It's natural and healthy to enjoy it. It will be around for ever. And people will continue to do it, watch it, and want it. Move on

  • Basically, these places are nothing more than brothels. Real perverts are drawn in by what they offer.

Wilkes-Barre used to have a heart. It USED to be a good place to live. This is further evidence of WB's demise.

I miss the Wilkes-Barre I used to know. Why we put up with the destruction of our city, I will never know.

  • you keep throwing stones at the WB City Police department, but is it not true that they are doing there job with reguards to the ordinances? They were past after approval of the club's permit according to local newspaper articles. You also say things about the sign, but it is also true that permits for those signs are needed and approved by officials? I think your real beef is with the township officials for letting this happen.

  • KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK I'M HEARING THIS PLACE IS DYING AS NO ONE IS GOING AND SPENDING MONEY THERE I BET ITS ALL OVER SOON (NOT SOON ENOUGH)WHAT WILL THIS OWNER DO NEXT????

  • For the record, I am not "throwing stones" at the WB Twp. police. I appreciate all they do. I don't believe that our police department is the problem. Re-read this site. You won't find a single criticism of the WB Twp. police department.

My question continues to be.... when will Township officials begin enforcing the ordinances they have approved.

  • Gee, what about the saying in the bible " thou shall not bear false witness"
there is nothing like getting information second hand, is there? I heard the moon was made of green cheese the same way.
These strip clubs are visited by undercover officers, if there is any illegal activity, the State Police will put a stop to it. Why would the owner of the strip club would allow it when he knows he will lose his business because of it?

  • It's sad to see just how many people don't understand the difference between right and wrong anymore.

We call what is right, wrong. We call what is wrong, right. Families are breaking down all around us, yet we defend the agents of their demise.

    Lord help us.

  • WB's demise??? WB has been going downhill for the past 20 years or more. How about we worry about some real problems. There is more prostituion and drug dealing going on at bars then at the stripclubs. Yes, some strippers take drugs, but so do a lot of people in WB. In fact, you probably work with some. They are not the dealers, the dealers are the ones that we need to go after. I love how all you stripclub haters like to point at Superdad's as an example. Superdad's problem was the gambling. This problem happens at every bar and social club in the area. It all just depends who the LCB and State Police want to go after. The charges for solication were for what the girls were saying to try to get the guys in the back room, it never went as far as sexual acts ever happening. For all the people that think they have won because Superdad's is closing are wrong. They were sold and the new club is most likely going to be Mustang Sallys.

How about we start protesting outside churches who defend their priests that molest young boys. Oh, it must be okay since they are the church and have God on their side.

  • WHAT DO THE WOMEN SAY ???

They say: "Thanks for the dollar bill, wanna go into the back room ?"

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10:58 PM

  • WHAT DOES YOUR WOMAN SAY???

Oh thats right ur pissed at the world because you don't have one... this is beginning to be alot of bull... first off i can tell you that there is no prostitution or "Sexual activities" going on in the back room because that place has more camera's in it than most casino's. Mr. Family needs to stop being such a tool and give it up already! So do the rest of you.. u don't like the strip club don't go!!! no one is forcing you to go there.. just like the other guy said wilkes-barre has been going down hill for a long time and its not because of a new club opening. Get your facts straight and while ur at it get a damn hobby or something!

Mr Family Ok Club 10 is in a shopping Mall area and has great public exposure but keep in mind that there are 5 strip clubs in Luzurne County and several adult books stores and an X rated Cinema in the same township as Club 10. You are trying to stop Club 10 from operating. Why haven't Public Officials done something to stop these places from operating if these places harbor crime, drugs and prostitution as you claim. Some of these places have been in business for years! Perhaps you should have a talk with the DA's Office and get his oppinion then you won't be fighting a non ending battle.

  • Aparently there are more and more men in NEPa who (feel they) have to pay for it, as supply is increasing to meet demand. Maybe if men would grow a spine and not settle for a diseased maggot as a replacement for a woman, these types of places would not multiply..
